[SHORTENED TITLE UP TO 50 CHARACTERS]2After reading over the scenario for client A I learned that he was diagnosed with aparanoid schizophrenia disorder. He has been ill for the past 10 years and takes medication tohelp with hallucinations. When off his medication he committed a murder. I feel that this clientshould not be put to the death penalty. I feel this way because the client was actually diagnosedwith a disorder in which caused him to comit the murder in response to command hallucinationsthat he cannot control. “The law recognizes that, under certain circumstances, people are notresponsible for their behavior and it would be unfair and perhaps ineffective to punish them”(Durand, Barlow & Hofman p.535) After the murder was committed, he felt that he deserved thedeath penalty which was also feelings that he felt while being attacked by the paranoid
