The purpose of this lab was to investigate the types of macromolecules food in food and to get abetter healthy diet.During the lab, I learned that sucrose is part of the carbohydrate group. Apart from that, in the labster, I learned that all macromolecules, expect lipids, are polymers. A polymer is a long molecule composed of chains of monomers. In the lab it taught me that monomers are small molecules that serve as building blocks of polymers. In the lab when we had to answer questions, the one question that got to me was when they asked “based on the biochemistry tests, Alice’s cabbage salad lacks some important macromolecules. What should Alice add to hersalad to provide the macromolecules she needs? I almost answered something else, but I learned that Alice should add avocado and eggs.
