Milton Marshall President and CFO Mike Canavan and Javier Roman VP’s of Marketing Amanda Halvorsen COO Abigail Tremblay Director of HR Our Clients: Staples Year Revenue Costs Year Year Revenue Year 1.0 Executive Summary Eco-Serve is here to serve. We are a consulting firm designed to generate profits and a positive image for our clients. Our objectives are two-fold: we will strategize the promotion of a company’s existing eco-friendly products and develop the company’s associates into environmentally aware persons who are willing and capable of helping consumers choose that perfect eco-friendly product. As a company working with Staples, we plan to create a marketing plan complete with complementary in-store signage, and broadcast and print advertising that will reach an existing and potentially ecologically- conscious target market. We will also train Staples’ associates through increasing their environmental acumen and knowledge of Staples’ eco-friendly products so they can effectively direct customers to these products. As an external company, we plan to market our unique resources to other retail stores that are interested in joining the Green Revolution bandwagon. We would essentially provide the same services as detailed before. From the internal and the external perspective, there is an enormous target market. From working within Staples, our target market includes middle-aged parents and Generation Y and their interest in eco-friendly products is explained in our marketing plan. As an external consulting firm, our target market includes general retail stores that pander to middle-aged parents and Generation Y customers and thus, could significantly increase their profits from our service. In order to effectively deliver our services, we will need capital as an internal and external company. We will need a total of $943,600 from Staples in the form of venture capital as an internal company working for Staples. However, we will return an 1 | P a g e

investment of $955 million the first year, $1.1 billion the second year and $1.2 billion the third year for Staples, according to projections found in the financial portion of this plan. As an external consulting company, we will require $400,000 in the form of a bank loan over the course of our first two years of business. Although we will not yield a profit until the third year ($6,360), we have faith that our profits will drastically increase in the following years with which we can repay our loan. We are proposing to offer a revolutionary service in a time of great change and progress, progress that has changed the average consumer into an environmentally-aware advocate. Staples and other retail companies must be prepared for this new era, and Eco-Serve is prepared to deliver the vital resources to sustain these companies. 2.0 General Company Description
