Sex describes the biological characteristics of people and animals. Sex is mainly connected to physical and psychological attributes, including gene expression, chromosomes, reproductive anatomy, and hormone levels and functions. It is categorized as female or male, although there is a variation in biological features that contain sex and how those features are expressed. On the other hand, gender describes the humanly established characters, expressions, identities, and behaviors of male, female, and gender diverse individuals (Delphy, (1993). Gender controls how individuals view themselves and others, function and interact, and distribute power and distribution in society.
