Unformatted text preview: two different worlds: reality and world of words. Specifically, these worlds are described as the world of events and things, and the world of words in addition to these events and things. This concept of two worlds is inspired by Korzybski’s realizing of abstractions and the way we allow them to control our perspectives. The meaning of words can change overtime; yet, we desire the stability language provides. Korzybski continues to say that one cannot step into the same real world twice.
