In the last trimester, avoid exercise that requires quick, jerking movements. - Wear good footwear and adequate breast support. Avoid exercise in the heat. Monitor your pulse and keep heart rate below 140 bpm. Drink plenty of fluids. Concentrate on non-weight bearing activities. Stop exercising if you feel short of breath, dizziness, numbness, tingling, abdominal pain, or vaginal bleeding. Aging - Women over 50 and men over 40 should perform physician supervised, graded exercise stress test before engaging in vigorous activity. Non- weight bearing activities are best to reduce risk of musculoskeletal problems. Exercise should be at lower end of target heart range. Exercise frequency should be limited to 3 or 4 days per week to reduce risk of injury....
