Despite that they are discussed below as they played an important function in the discourse structure and often interacted with some of the conceptual metaphors, especially those devoted to the representation of the enemy. These emotionally loaded words, although bleached through their overuse in the media reporting of political events, were used to increase the expressive power of the texts.
