Purpose of experiment To experimentally verify the concept of superposition in a linear circuit. Model numbers of equipment used Hewlett-Packard HP34401A Multimeter Hewlett-Packard HPE3631A Power Supply Jameco Breadboard Block diagram of test set up Circuit Schematic Part A: V 1 V 2 R 1 4 7 0 R 3 2 k R 2 6 . 8 k Part B: V 1 V 2 R 1 3 . 3 k R 3 1 5 k R 2 6 . 8 k Test Procedure Equations used: (Measured-Computed)/Computed * 100 = % Error α = V 2 /V 1 Part A: The circuit shown above was connected on a breadboard after measuring the individual resistors’ values. Using the multi-output power supply, two voltage sources were connected to the breadboard and the circuit as indicated. The outputs of both voltage sources were adjusted using 1.5V increments from 0 to 6V. The voltage across R 2 was measured and recorded for each set of voltages. Part B:
