Purpose of experiment: To get oriented to both the oscilloscope and the waveform generator. Model numbers of equipment used: HP33210A Waveform Generator Agilent 54622D Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Heathkit IN-3117 Decade Resistance Box Block diagram of test set up: Parts A-D: Part E: Test Procedure Equations used: T=1/ f %dev = Parameter measured on oscilloscope – Parameter displayed on function generator -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parameter displayed on function generator Part 1 (A-D): The function generator and the oscilloscope were connected. The generator was set to output a sine wave of frequency 4 kHz and amplitude 640 mV pp . The oscilloscope was set to DC coupling and a probe factor of 1:1. Measurements of peak-to-peak Voltage, frequency, and period were taken by the oscilloscope, and waveform images printed to a floppy disk. This procedure was repeated for the sawtooth, triangle, and square waves, with the inputted frequencies and amplitudes noted in the data below.
