It is not hypnosis, just imagination/creativity test Dangers of hypnosis (imagined) Stuck in trance Tired and upset Emotionally unstable Dangers of Hypnosis (real) Physiological response: Heart; Baby Bottle – could have heart attack from response of the imagination in the hypnosis Release traumatic material – can take months to fix the anxiety from traumatic Misdiagnosis and mistreatment of illness – miss real diagnosis Dependent personality Side effects: headaches anxiety, dizziness, loss of attention and memory Real vs Hypnotically-induced events: legal implications Perception Distal stimulus – thing out there Proximal stimulus – image formed in the retina
