Purpose of experiment: To construct, measure, and observe the behavior of a diode rectifier circuit and voltage regulator circuit. Model numbers of equipment used Hewlett-Packard HPE3631A Power Supply Hewlett-Packard HP33120A Function Generator Agilent 546220 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Fluke 8010A Digital Multimeter Jameco JE24 Breadboard Block diagram of test set up Diagram A: Rectifier Circuit Diagram B: Voltage Regulator Circuit Circuit schematic Schematic A: Voltage Regulator

Schematic B: Rectifier Test Procedure Rectifier Circuit The circuit shown in Schematic A was constructed on the breadboard. The resistance was initially set at 10K ohms. The oscilloscope’s channels were then connected to the function generator’s output and the load voltage output. The function generator was set to a 400Hz sine wave, with a 1V peak amplitude. The multimeter was then set across the load voltage as well.
