RESEARCH PAPER: THESIS STATEMENT AND ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT Proposed Topic: Human trafficking has become more difficult to prevent and stop due to technological advancements made in cybercrime activity. Proposed Thesis Statement: Advancements in technology have progressed rapidly and human trafficking policies and training are not keeping up. Governments have been failing to come to terms with the growing problem of human trafficking. The problem will only continue to grow unless we find policies, manpower, and useful training on how to combat human trafficking. Human trafficking has become more profitable than the illegal drug industry and therefore needs attention. My hypothesis is that through research, we will find that not only is the lack of resources preventing us from combating human trafficking, but ignorance to the problem by law enforcement entities is as well. Research might show us what we have been failing in and how to move forward with the resources we currently have. It might also show techniques and new policy implementations that can be made throughout agencies. Preliminary Bibliography: Greiman, V., & Bain, C. (2013).
