Spectroscope Calibration:
 Spectroscope calibration graph (Hand Drawn) − After you have identified your lines,
create a hand-drawn plot on a piece of graph paper of the wavelengths (from Table 1) on
the ordinate (y-axis) versus scale divisions that you recorded in lab on the abscissa (x-
axis). Use a straight-edge to draw a line through the points on the graph. If this line does
not approximate the points on the graph correctly, adjust the wavelength assignments
made above. For example, you may have assigned a wavelength of 7065 Å to your
observed red line. However, the observed red line may actually be the line at 6678 Å.
You may adjust your assignments of wavelength in order to correct your graph.
