The STAR Center is not for word processing, checking e-mail, or other general Internet use. The purpose of the lab is to allow students to use multimedia programs to create and edit their projects. Students interested in working as STAR Center student mentors should contact the STAR Center administrative supervisor. The STAR Center offers PCs and Macs with various software, scanners, and other equipment for a range of student multimedia projects. Students can receive troubleshooting assistance in video editing, web site design and development, and other multimedia areas. Video and still cameras are available for reservation and checkout, as well as a small studio with camera and lighting equipment for lower-level productions. Use of the facilities and checkout of equipment is free with a valid Mason ID. Failure to return equipment and materials on time will lead to fines and penalties. Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. Holiday and school break hours will be provided. Please visit the STAR Center for operating hours.
