Among the affinity products and services are group-rate medical, auto, and life insurance plans; diploma frames; student loan consolidation; an online directory; and the official George Mason University Alumni Association credit card. In addition, all graduates receive a complimentary subscription to the Mason Spirit and the MasonWire monthly e-newsletter. Alumni Association The George Mason University Alumni Association was established in 1968 and exists to engage alumni in active participation in the university community. The Alumni Association has a variety of affinity groups, called chapters, which create opportunities for alumni to stay involved with the university. The Alumni Association consists of alumni volunteers and works in conjunction with the Office of Alumni Affairs.
