Furthermore, there was another case involving a U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice reporting racism
because some republican called her incompetent. A representative told CNN this story on why it
might be considered racist to call Susan Rice incompetent; “These are code words, Clyburn said,
and "these kinds of terms those of us who were born and raised in the South been hearing these
little words and phrases all of our lives and we get insulted by them”(qtd. in Taranto). These
issues are something that affects certain people in a bad way by using your First Amendments
rights to express yourself, but in turn you may be hurting someone else’s feelings by libel means
Consequently, in this news story I feel that the news corporations shouldn’t be able to
use their First Amendment rights to get their story across, and have a voice to the public on a certain issue they might find suitable for the United States citizens to know about. The court
ruling of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission shows that media corporations do not
have much freedom of press, which is not fair to have restrictions on their First Amendment
rights and no other corporations. Media corporations not having much voice makes the United
States government unfair to those who are supposed to be able to speak their minds and
