Chemistry 115: Lab #6 Chemical Reactions of Copper and Percent Yield Name: James Anders Date: 10/23/07 Section: 11 TA: Chris Spina Room:_________ Score:________ Quiz POST-LAB questions (25 points): Please Write Legibly 1. What are the hazards (1 point) and precautions (1 point) for working with nitrogen dioxide gas? It is very toxic and reactions producing the gas should be done under the hood to prevent poisoning. 2. (1 point for correct reactants, 1 point for correct products, 1 point for correct states on products and reactants, 1 point for correct balancing) Zn (s) + CuSO 4 (aq) = ZnSO 4 (s) + Cu (aq) 3.
