Field experiment Design The field experiment proceeded in four phases: Control Period The control period lasted for eight weeks. Statistics on electricity waste was gathered using the definition and method described in the previous section. During this time, no feedback was given to operators. Feedback to Operators The second phase was characterized by training the three operators who regularly used the ovens to understand and use the real-time feedback dashboard. The dashboard was made available on the operator workstations and displayed on a continuous loop on large overhead monitor in the Oil Room visible to all personnel in the area.
