Name: Shuvra Podder Partners: Jin So, Lucas Tanaka LAB 2 INTRODUCTION In this lab, we will be looking at how the W/L ratio effects the CMOS characteristics. Note: Please note that for PART B and PART D, the oscilloscope values are not calibrated. You will notice that Vin min is about -3 V and Vin max is about 2 V. Even though, we applied 0 V to 5 V in the input, and we believe this is because of the offset setting of the oscilloscope. Therefore, please take that into consideration. However, this still does not explain, why Vout and Vh (CH2) is showing the expected results of 0V to 5V. (Actually, I would appreciate it, if can tell me the possible cause of the problem) PART A In this part of the lab, we connected pin 3, 5, and 14 together and 4 and 8 together. Pin 6 will act as an AC input. This allowed us make two NMOS, M2 and M1 in series, with gate of M2 connected to VDD acting as an pull-up resistor, while M1 will act as an actual MOSFET with AC input.
