WATER HYACINTH? Aquatic plant, scientific name  Eichhornia 7 species of water hyacinth, the common water hyacinth species is  E.  crassipes Taxonomy:  Plantae > Magnoliophyta > Liliopsyta > Liliales > Pontedariaceae >  Eichhornia Floating plants, round/oval green leaves that are upright Flowers are blue-purple, or lilac colored with a yellow spot
