Communications Operation Procedure-1 are handled by management rather than by an inline
communications protocol. The managed parameters are those which tend to be static for
long periods of time, and whose change generally signifies a major reconfiguration of the
protocol entities associated with a particular mission. Through the use of a management
system, management conveys the required information to the protocol entities.
In this section, the managed parameters used by the Communications Operation Procedure-1
are listed. These parameters are defined in an abstract sense and are not intended to imply
any particular implementation of a management system.
7.2 FOP-1 MANAGED PARAMETERS Table 7-1 lists the managed parameters used by FOP-1 for a Virtual Channel.
