Shown in the figure is a simple elevator control system of a plane. The elevator which
is mounted on each side of the tail is used to control the movement of the plane about its
lateral axis, this motion is called pitch. A change in position of the elevators modifies the
camber of airfoil, which increases/decreases lift. The increased lift forces the tail upward,
causing the nose to drop, conversely decreasing the lift forces the tail downward and the nose
