If this doesn’t help, let me know. c) Please be respectful of others – instructors as well as fellow students – in all comments and questions. This respect should be manifest in word, in tone, and in conduct. 3. Religious Holy Days By UT Austin policy, you must notify me of your pending absence at least fourteen days prior to the date of observance of a religious holy day. If you must miss a class, an examination, a work assignment, or a project in order to observe a religious holy day, I will give you an opportunity to complete the missed work within a reasonable time after the absence. 4. Course Readings/Materials a) Essential Biochemistry, 3rd edition, Pratt and Cornely – available as a new softcover at the Co- op. This was prepared as a custom edition in order to adjust the order of topics to follow the lecture order – however any version of the 3rd edition will be fine. If, however, you are using the 2nd edition – you will need to make some adjustments. You should have no trouble following the content – but you will not have access to all of the end- of- chapter (EOC) questions in the 3rd edition. For this reason, copies of the 3rd edition will be on reserve in the Biology Library. The 1st edition of this text is NOT acceptable – since it differs enough from the 2nd and 3rd editions as to make it difficult if not impossible to keep up with the material without confusion. b) WileyPLUS: https://www.wileyplus.com/WileyCDA/ Follow the instructions on the home page in order to register with WileyPLUS. Students who purchased the custom edition would also have received an access card. Just enter the number on this card when you get to the payment page. Be sure to select the appropriate unique number for the course. There are many helpful tools available which will greatly aid your understanding of the course material.
