DAG / IP3* System * Diacylglycerol / Inositol Trisphosphate -DAG is converted to arachidonic acid, soluble second messenger. arachidonic acid is itself a second messenger and a precursor for other messenger molecules. not all DAG are converted to ara acid, some stay in membrane and they can activate another kinase, kinase C, a membrane-bound kinase. c will phosphorylate protein when it bind DAG to bring cellular response.
