This 10-fold dilution results in a solution that is 5.00 ppm Mg2+(aq). Pour about 20 mL of this dilute solution into the beaker and clean the volumetric flask. Take 15.00 mL of this solution and dilute to 100 mL in the volumetric flask. This results in a 0.75 ppm Mg2+(aq) solution. Recall, C1V1 = C2V2 (where C is the solution concentration).
