Conclusions Chapter I: Introduction Physiological Area : The Effects of Training on Metabolism Rationale : Most people do not realize that being hydrated is an important state to be in, especially if they are athletes, training, or just physically active. It can be very detrimental to one’s health if one is dehydrated. It is also important to know what kind of water one is drinking. Water affects the physical state as well as the mental state. The higher the pH, the better the water is for you. Comparing different alkaline water will help one get a better understanding of how the water will affect the body. The reason the human body is able to maintain water and utilize it is due to metabolism. Hydration is an important role when it comes to fitness in general. Hydration should be managed in detail and should be consumed according to level of physical activity (Chycki, Zajac, Maszcyk, Kurylas, 2017). The pH of water is important to know because it describes the content and hydration status. Mineral water is the most significant on impact when it comes to the balance of acid and base in the body.
