H.01: A rigid bar ACEB is supported by a pin at A and by two rods CD and EF. A horizontal load of 2 kip is applied at the location shown. Each rod is made of aluminum (E = 10 × 10 6 psi) with a diameter of 1.0 in. Before loading, the rods were unstressed and the bar was vertical. Calculate (a) the internal forces in rods CD and EF, and (b) the deflection of point B.
