Most often the abuser is a member of her own family, Physical violence against women is behavior intended to inflict harm and includes, slapping, kicking, choking, punching, pushing, use of objects as weapons, forced sexual activity and injury or death from a weapon. Physical violence is by definition, assault and it’s a crime. Ninety­five percent of serious assaults by a spouse or intimate partner are men battering women. Abuse is the leading cause of injury to women, while homicide due to being physically abuse is a major cause of traumatic death to women Rape Crisis Rape Rape is a terrifying crime against women. Most women that is raped are homeless, hitchhikers, young girls, and vulnerable women. Most cities within the United States have organized a rape crisis center for women, which facilitate victims in rebuilding their lived with the help from counselors and support groups.
