No attempt is made in this experiment to rank the weak acids or bases according to their relative strength. In this experiment, you will use indicators to distinguish between acids, bases and neutral substances. To distinguish between strong and weak acids and bases, semi­quantitative conductance testing will be performed. The result of the conductance test should clearly distinguish between strong and weak electrolytes, and will permit you to identify the acid or the base as strong or weak.
