The Dauphin had a horrible taste in fashion and his mismatched clothes reflected that. Joan at first wore a dress that was far to short but quickly changed when she started to wear a soldiers clothing. Joan looked far more normal in mens clothings than in the dress she was wearing which showed how she connected more with the mans world. 8. The costumes helped differentiate between the common people, the nobles, and the clergy. This was especially important because there were only four actors.
