The population around Mexico city triples in the 18th century. In the Andes, the absence of silver revival and the indigenous division from the Spanish = rebellion and social resistance/conflict. In New Spain there is so little violent social resistance due to the silver economy revival. The indigenous republics between 1550- 1650 that gave them rights to alnd and to self rule, from the point of view form the 18th century at the time of absolutely minimum population (fewest numbers in known history) and given land that was just enough to sustain communities at their lowest point in population.
