We hypothesized that the ectotherms (peeps) in the bush would lose heat through convection faster than the ectotherms on the ground would lose heat through conduction. We hypothesized this because of the outside temperature and because the wind was blowing. This seemed to be a reasonable hypothesis. Our data proved our hypothesis correct and that the ectotherms do in fact lose heat faster through convection in the bush than conduction from the ground.
