Film 3 reviewThomas CartwrightThe film ‘True Whisperers: The Story of the Navajo Code Talkers’is a good, and enjoyable film. The film uses many different ways to take the audience inside the lives ofthe navajo code talkers during this time such as, pictures, quotes, and even interviews from a few code talkers themselves. The experiences described for the code talkers do not sound pleasing at all. The code talkers were forced to learn the english language and couldn't say anything about it. They were referred to by Americans as savages, andchildren of the devil. The film’s visual style relies heavily on footage and interviews. The interviews areused for in depth explanations of experiences these people went through during this time. Boarding school experiences for the children were not good, they had no rights like normal people, and couldn't even be found by authorities speaking their native language.
