As a remembrance of this, we are commanded to teach our children that not only were our forefathers redeemed from Egypt, but us as well. (Ex. Ch. 13 V. 8) For had the redemption not occurred we would have long ago disappeared by assimilating into Egyptian society and would not have the “Land that He swore unto our fathers to give us” (Ex.
