Suggested Solution In order to expand on diversity and allow employees to feel more willing to come forward with their problems and concerns, Johnson Chemical International should strive to get rid of the existing “in-groups” in their organization. Studies show that more diverse organizations are generally more successful when compared to others with low levels of diversity. We recommend that Johnson Chemical strive to become as unpretentiously diverse as possible in order to have a competitive advantage in the marketplace. As a result, Johnson Chemical will be able to become a more cohesive organization, as well as understand their consumers better. Groups with different backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexes are more capable of developing creative ideas and problem solving due to their experiences and distinctive information. In addition, by implementing diversity training and programs, Johnson Chemical can create a more enjoyable environment for their employees, which ultimately encourages higher productivity and provides them with equal opportunities to progress in the company and their individual careers. Action Plan Reorganize departments to make each department totally diverse by redistributing employees into teams based on their personal strengths. Each employee’s strengths will be assed by the human resource manager, in order to match strengths in a way that will be most effective and efficient. This will prevent in- groups from forming, which will reduce tension and promote diversity. This should be done over a three to six month time period.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
