Taylor Christopher Professor Ross Intro to Philosophy February 6, 2013 Page 60, Paragraph 71e, Meno’s Defintion of Virtue - virtue of man = “to benefit his friends and harm his enemies and to be careful that no harm comes to himself”; virtue of woman = “manage the home well, preserve its possessions, and be submissive to her husband”; “the virtue of a child, whether male or female, is different again, and so is that of an elderly man, if you want that, or if you want that of a free man or slave. And there are very many other virtues, so that one is not at a loss to say what virtue is. There is a virtue for every action and every age, for every task of ours and every one of us - and, Socrates, the same is true for wickedness.” Page 61, Paragraph 72c, Socrates’s Response - “The same is true in the case of the virtues. Even if they are many and various, all of them have one and the same form which makes them virtues..” Page 62, Paragraph 73d, Meno’s Definition of Virtue - “..justice is virtue.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
