Francis E. Arnold Jr. English II 2/13/13 When people ask me what bothers me I usually give a basic response, “Tuesdays bother me”. In fact Tuesdays do bother me. The day feels longer and it’s always some weird type of weather outside on a Tuesday. Just to have Tuesday fit in between a Monday and a Wednesday is irrelevant. What can I say this bothers me, but this is usually what my response is to a question like “what bothers me”? If I had some time to ponder about what I disliked I think my answer would change, it would change to this feeling that I usually get when I’m around white, black, and any other people and money. Let me be help you understand. Imagine you’re fourteen years old and you walk into an adult shop while your best friend’s parent is in there, just one parent. That may have been a bad example but you get the picture. How I feel when I walk into the Gucci store, Fendi store, and other expensive stores amazes me sometimes. I always feel the need to prep myself well before I enter such stores by wearing business attire or fixing my posture. I’ve learned to deal with the awkwardness better these days but I came to a conclusion on why this feeling has grown on me and possibly will never go away. The color of my skin affects people.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
