Francis E. Arnold Jr. Its Friday 6:30 a.m. and the weather had just made a turn for the bad, now it feels like winter. I was in my bed when the alarm to my phone woke me and my two other teammates up. As a captain of the Men’s basketball team I feel this burden of perfection weighing on my shoulders, so I roll off my bed with urgency. I walked into the bathroom with thoughts about how brutal the 7 a.m. conditioning is going to be but with hopes that our trainer doesn’t show up so I can sprint back to my bed. Sure enough as I finished pondering my two teammates strolled into the bathroom with the same look I originally had once I walked into the bathroom. We brushed our teeth, washed our faces, and layered ourselves with t shirts and sweaters. As we were leaving the room my teammate commented on our second to last 7 a.m. conditioning, he says “It’s too cold to be outside”. I agreed but with excitement. A part of me wanted to get out on the track and work as a family with my teammates. At this point we are halfway there and my thoughts
