Data Sources 1. Data Sources Creating data Surveys Interviews Ethnographies Other sources – using existing data 2. Non-reactive Research Reactive: people being studied are aware of being studied Experiments Surveys Nonreactive: subjects are not aware of being studied Unobtrusive measures Existing settings/situations 3. “Traces” Erosion measures measurement on the basis of selective wear EX: EX: there are paths on campus but a lot of paths that have been eroded by ppl walking on the grass. Or how some books in the library have more worn than others. Accretion measures measurement based on deposits of something left behind EX: archeologist finding things, shwos what they actually used not what they say it is. EX: everyone says they recycle but to actually know you gotta look for yourself to see what is actually there 4. Strengths/Advantages No subject “confounds”- no one can lie Assess actual behavior vs. self-report Safety Reliability- everyone sees the same thing as you, cant count wrong or anything.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
