Carmela Anastacio Eng 111 In the beginning of my freshman year, I was a student who did not have the knowledge of becoming an honors student. It did not occur to me that It played an important role for college. I was just a student who wanted to fit in and at least pass my classes. My grades started dropping my sophomore year and I had to take summer school which was not enjoyable since there were no air conditioning. As Junior year approached I had to straighten up. Teachers, alumni's, and parents had told me that junior year was the most important year that colleges look at. From than on I had motivation and ended the year with a 3.0 and above. I did have my bad years and good years as well. All it takes is motivation, without motivation I would not have been able to end my junior year with those grades. I loved my teachers my junior year. When your teacher understands you and you understand your teacher your ability to learn would greatly increase. Bishop Amat has started a program 2 years ago, where students need to exceed 20 hours of service or more through community, faith, and school. This program helps students be involved more. I actually enjoyed doing my hours. I went to the st. Christopher's winter shelter. I helped serve the food to the poor and I also
