Differentiation between religion and religiosity: Islam is an integral part of cultural identity even though on might not engage in religious acts on a daily basis. Shunning of sectarian disputes: Islam ought to be ONE and tolerance is a key value. The transcendental unity of Islam is literal and assertive. Confidence in Muslim identities. Conscious choice NOT to focus on differences. Flexibility in the face of adversity: pragmatic Muslim youth and situational ethics. Careful negotiation of the secular realm (often western-inspired practices) and the realm of Islamic practices. “There is a time to demonstrate one's devotion to God and a time to fulfill other imperatives, such as the mundane concerns of modern existence .” Ethical behaviour is therefore considered situational rather than immutable: different rules for different time and place. The generational malaise of young Saudi men and boys: the feeling of “tufush.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
