For example when Black men were first to gain the right to vote, many feminists were furious, asking why they gave ‘Them’ the right to vote before a prestigious white woman. There was a further division after this, and many aspects of the women’s movement would have probably been easier if they didn’t have to compete as much. But I also believe that they wouldn’t have had many of the successes without the indirect support of the other movements....
