To write a job description that is helpful to a potential employee, one must break down more than just the responsibilities of the job. It requires breaking the job down into parts and then building it back up into a job description. It includes the job title, the purpose for the position, the duties the job entails and physical requirements and working conditions. The skills required and qualifications for the position. It is good to provide information about the equipment and machines operated. Include the “reporting relationships”, or, what positions the job had to interact with, so the applicant is prepared to contact coworkers with their work. This job description is for a group leader who will be in charge of communication with the teacher throughout the semester until the group project is due at the end of the semester.
