Academic Search Premier . Web. 12 Mar. 2014. Lucy Wolfe’s article, "Darling Divas Or Damaged Daughters? The Dark Side Of Child Beauty Pageants And An Administrative Law Solution," discusses the damage that little girls go through to be a successful pageant girl, along with what the parents allow to be done to their daughters, in order to come out on top. Wolfe provides very applicable evidence through the victims of these pageants, the witnesses’ opinions of the pageants, psychiatrists, and media reports of beauty pageant cases. One blogger stated, "Pumping your young daughter full of uppers, teaching her that self-worth is tied to what other people think of her[,] and turning her into a total [expletive] monster." This statement does make a point. Parents are living through their daughters and robbing the children of their childhood. These parents are forcing their kids to grow up to fast, "These children
