Josh Eusebio Professor Hoag Writing110 February 11, 2013 Synthesis Assignment To be honest I just want to go out and say that I really disliked this documentary I would never ever use any of Michael Moore’s work because I just don’t agree with anything he does, and frankly even if he is saying the truth I wouldn’t believe him because I think he is atrocious. But that being said I will do the assignment and connect his nonsense to books of actual content and of some importance. A very simply connection that can be made with Moore’s film is with the book Horatio Alger . Moore really liked to talk about how separated our class’s are and I think the text Horatio Alger speaks about how differences in class and race can lead to a difference in opportunities.

Unformatted text preview: In the film we talked a lot about how 1% of the population holds 95% of the wealth. And I think that it is fair to say that these people who have so much money have very different opportunities and resources to seize due to their affluence, which Dalton speaks on. Another connection I think you can make between Michael Moore’s film and Horatio Alger is that it is all a myth. From what I have seen and listened to, all that he speaks about is mythical. Dalton calls Horatio Alger’s text a myth or from what we have learned in class an “algerythym” I would call Moore’s idea a Morth....
