Josh Eusebio Core Values Group #6 Reyna Sund. Activity 1 (Poetry) Hearing Mrs. Manning talk about her poetry was extremely interesting and intriguing. I personally have gone to a few poetry readings in San Francisco and know that there is a huge poetry loving community. Poetry is a type of response to anything and everything and people can use it any way they want. I thought several of her Baby Dream poems were very interesting and extremely visual, I could actually say that about all of her Poems but a select few really caught my ear. The poem Baby Dream #6: The Well really caught my attention because it was just so extremely visual, especially the last verse when it reads dropping babies wishing

She wrote it so that there was only one word per line and it resembled something dropping and falling. Overall I thought being able to go and listen to a poet talk about their work and answer questions about what poets do other than read and write was incredible fascinating. As well as listening to Mrs. Manning talk about how many drafts and sittings she might need in order to complete a poem.
