Fisher-Edelglass 1 Zachary Fisher-Edelglass 1 May 2013 EN102 Professor Hays Journal 11 Throughout this semester, I feel that there has been a great deal that I have learned in our English class. Through the various readings and assignments, as well as discussions in class, my knowledge of monsters has grown significantly. From the early readings of vampiric folklore and myths, to my final project on Salem’s Lot by Stephen King, it has been fascinating to witness the evolution and progression of vampires in both literature and pop culture. When first starting Elements of Composition II this semester, I had assumed that it would be essentially identical in content to Elements of Composition I. Needless to say, I was very sur- prised when I found out that the focus of the class would be on monsters, in particular the vam- pire.
