The last agency of importance for this particular discussion is that of new data collected by agency staff. With this agency, “it is sometimes possible to use a hybrid source of data in which criminal justice agency staff collect information for specific research purposes.” (P224) In other words, data is collected and noted based on daily interactions with criminals and other individuals involved in the criminal justice system via the route of interviews or daily interactions.
