Carter Rhoad Internship Hogelucht What Color Is Your Parachute Job seeking is the main focus in “What Color is Your Parachute?” This book goes into detail about some of the key factors that Bolles explains are pivotal in finding that dream job. The first point he makes is that networking is extremely important. This skill should be used specifically to find the person who has the authority to get you a job. Now many people find themselves with too wide of a vision for their dream job. Bolles explains that by narrowing your focus and finding not only what your good at, but what makes you happy will help in your search for a career path. This to me was the most helpful information throughout the book. It is interesting how friendships as children are so innocent, and as we move into adulthood those same friendships become connections. The most key factor in finding a job is not what you know, but who you know. This goes from school mates, to teammates to your inner circle of friends and spreads out from there. The whole idea of
