Lecture 5 -... Audio recording started: 10:01 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2013 If you don’t send your output somewhere it ends up on your terminal If specified we can use out as input to other programs or to other places or files (drawing, audio, etc…) Standard input asks you to type the numbers that the program will utilize (type control + d to stop it from requesting functions). These are methods from the standard in and out libraries. Standard out functions does not return values hence you see void. These are APIs We can also send output to files using > data.txt (for instance sends output to data.txt) Input can also be taken from other output files Data can be moved directly between programs, etc... Piping can be used to eliminate the middle-man (use | instead) Typing clear in the terminal sends you to the top Typing more filename.txt takes you to the filename.txt (opens it up). We can redirect output data to any file (it would still need input though). Standard draw is another library for drawing stuff.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
